Shezabayferrari
UPDATE: Shezabay is about to embark on some polo training at Spring Lake Equestrian Center. Julia, new volunteer and former Michigan State Polo Team Captain, is beginning her training from the ground up. Of course this great filly is capable of doing other things, but her focus right now is getting back under saddle and being responsive to the rider.
"Shezabay" is a pretty little filly who is as sound as she can be. After an unsuccessful 2 starts, her owner decided to retire her from racing. She is about 15.2 hands, bay, and classy. Shezabay is a 10 mover and very interlligent. She has been lightly worked in the round pen since retiring and picks up ques very quickly. If you are looking for a fancy little dressage prospect, this is your girl. If you are looking for a flashy hunter prospect, this is your girl. If you are looking for everything in one package...Shezabay is the filly you've been searching for.

Flying the Flag aka "Fynn"
This beautiful boy is a great riding prospect! "Fynn" retired sound from a reputable trainer who wanted what was best for him. He stand about 15.2 hands and is a round guy. His most endearing quality are his "airpalne ears" when he's half asleep in his paddock. Fynn is completely sound and has been started under saddle recently. If you are looking for a nice riding horse with some show potential, come visit Fynn...you won't be disappointed!

On Wings of Trust aka "Zorro"
UPDATE: Zorro was x-rayed on June 19th and his fracture is barely visible. Dr. Gold said after about 2 more months of limited turn out, Zorro can actually begin some light training. He is currently working on his ground manners and interpersonal skills. SUPER fast learner!
"Zorro" is a gorgeous boy who is recovering from a slab fracture. He is gentle and a joy to be around, even on stall rest. Once recovered, Zorro would make a lovely riding horse perhaps in lower level dressage. He is certainly a head-turner and should make any judge smile. He stands at 15.2 hands and needs an experienced owner to assist with his transition under saddle. Zorro has been on stall rest for about 2 months now and is recieving daily hand-walks and turnout in the lunge pen. Have a little patience and you are sure to have found a friend for life!

Rose Classic
UPDATE: Rosie is going to join Shezabay in polo training. She's still got a lot of energy left, but we will be working with her to channel that in a positive direction.
"Rosie" is our little barn gossip. She has earned the title "Nosey Rosie" since she must talk to you everytime someone comes in or goes out of the barn. She has a chip in the right knee, but is sound. She stands at 15 hands and is ready for a person to love. Rosie is the sweetest little girl who would make a great first horse for an experienced rider.

Summertime Groove
"Groovy" is a great filly with wonderful potential. Standing about 15.2, she would make a great trail or pleasure horse. Groovy retired without any injuries, she was just too slow. In other words, you can make her into anything you desire!
Groovy needs an experienced rider/handler as she is still pretty fresh. She will be started back under saddle soon, so get her and finish her your way. This sweet girl is really looking for a person of her own!

Sister Suave
Sissy is a wonderful filly who is looking for someone to love. She is 6 years old, approximately 16 hands, and has been retired since December 2009. Coming to us with a small knee chip, Sissy spent several months on stall rest and slowly rehabbing into a pasture. She now spends most of her days turned out with fellow TROT horse "JJ" and loves to run and play. Sissy is a sensitive girl and can take some time to warm up to people. She has been under a western saddle within the past month.
Sissy is the grandaughter of "Silver Buck" and earned $52,238 in her racing career. She has 4 wins, 9 places, and 8 shows. Lots of heart in this filly!

Gucaipuro aka "Guac"
UPDATE: Guac is going to begin training under saddle this week! We are anticipating him to take about 30 days to become comfortable and familiar with his new job. He will be ridden western and also become familiar with lunging and voice command. Guac is a super special boy and whoever adopts him is in for a lifetime of fun!
"Guac" is a fun gelding with a lot of life and talent. He is a sound 6 year old gelding who has raced 34 times, with 4 wins. Guac stands at 16 hands and is a bit strong; his only issue is that he has osslets on his front ankles (calcification around the joint) but other than being cosmetic, they do not affect his movement or comfort. With time and patience, he will make an amazing event or dressage horse. Did we mention he is the son of the great "Cryptoclearance"?!

Dancing Saints
UPDATE: Saint was x-rayed on June 19th and showed that he has a lot of degeneration in his left knee joint. While happy as can be, he is still slightly lame and would be best suited as a companion horse. Dr. Gold suggested that very light riding would be ok, but it would be in Saint's best interest to remain a low-impact pleasure horse.
Saint is a very sweet, large gelding who is ready for a new family. He has not raced since 2008 and recently has surgery to remove a chip from his left front knee. He started 19 times, earning $60,415. Saint would make a lovely trail or light riding horse. Standing at about 16.1 hands, he's not a little guy...but if you are looking for a horse who will love and appreciate all that you give, this is your boy.

Jules Jewel aka "JJ"
JJ is a wonderful boy and the barn clown. He's always making a silly face to try and entice some goodies. JJ retired at 9 years old with an injury to his hip. We don't know more about it, as his discomfort comes and goes with the weather. He was known to be a bit fractous in the gate and we assume that is where it happend. JJ stands at about 15.3 and would make a GREAT companion or therapy horse. He can be ridden very lightly, although we do not push anything on him. JJ currently enjoys his days in his paddock waiting for a person to charm.

Mambo Appeal
Mambo is a beautiful 4 year old gelding who has started 15 times as a racehorse. A smaller boy, he stands at 15.1 and is the "strong and silent" type. Mambo keeps to himself and is very easy to handle. He was retired with a chip in his right front knee, but should be sound for light riding.
